SHAKA Festival: Web3, AI, and Surfing Return to Biarritz
SHAKA is Back in Biarritz for its 4th Edition
France's New Tech Festival, SHAKA, is set to take place in Biarritz from August 25 to 27, 2025. The event will be held at Le Connecteur and anticipates bringing together 2,000 participants and over 100 companies.
This year's edition promises an immersive experience into AI, Web3, and innovative startups, complemented by activities such as surfing and yoga. SHAKA provides a platform to network, pitch ideas, and learn about emerging technologies in a relaxed environment.
A Diverse Program Awaits
The 2025 program includes talks, workshops, panels, and immersive experiences covering a range of topics:
- Make a short film with AI
- Crypto trading challenge: Earn the most money in 1 hour, live
- Prompt battle: Generate the most stunning image in 7 minutes
The festival will host prominent figures including Rachel Delacour, Paul Midy, Francis Lelong, Hervé Bloch, Albin Serviant, Nicolas Guyon, Florent Albero, Gilbert Reveillon, Anouk Garnier, Julien Lopez, and Maider Arosteguy, Mayor of Biarritz. Representatives from Crypto.com, CES Web3 & AI Village, Allianz, Polkadot, Avalanche, and Crédit Agricole will also be present.
The festival will commence with a free ceremony on August 25 at 5:00 PM at Le Connecteur, featuring a live show and a prompt battle. The Startup Line-Up pitch competition, guided by Julia Lemeunier, will offer high-impact startups a chance to pitch for a spot at CES Las Vegas 2026.
SHAKA aims to foster meaningful connections through shared activities like running, yoga, padel, surfing, contests, and giveaways. The event concludes with a beach party and DJ set on August 27.
The Team Behind SHAKA
SHAKA was founded by brothers Damien and Franck Dupont, along with Benjamin Maunier and Christophe Molinari. Their collective experience spans user experience design, software development, crypto specialization, and event management.
