Toronto Celebrates a Decade of Ethereum Innovation
Toronto, the birthplace of Ethereum, is hosting a series of major Web3 events from May 11-17, 2025, to commemorate the platform's 10th anniversary. Canada Crypto Week will feature over 100 events, culminating in ETHWomen and ETHToronto on May 13th. These events, part of the Blockchain Futurist Conference, highlight Toronto's continued role in shaping the decentralized future.
ETHToronto: A Developer-Focused Event
Now in its fourth year, ETHToronto (May 13th, 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM) at the Toronto Stock Exchange building, brings together developers and industry experts. The event includes panels, presentations, and networking opportunities focused on the technical aspects of blockchain innovation.
A key highlight is the "Wonder to the Future" hackathon (May 13th - May 31st), hosted by WonderFi Labs. Developers can build applications using Wonder L2 and Web3 technologies, focusing on gasless transactions for improved user experience. Participants compete for prizes and gain valuable mentorship. ETHWomen: Empowering Women in Web3
