Space and Time Mainnet Launch
Space and Time, a blockchain project backed by Microsoft, has launched its public, permissionless mainnet. This innovative platform delivers zero-knowledge (ZK)-proven data infrastructure for crypto applications.
Zero-Knowledge Data Infrastructure for Smart Contracts
Developed by MakeInfinite Labs, Space and Time provides a decentralized, verifiable database. Smart contracts can now query historical, cross-chain, and off-chain data securely and efficiently. The platform indexes data from major networks like Ethereum, making it accessible via a decentralized network of validators.
Developers utilize Space and Time's Proof of SQL—a sub-second ZK coprocessor—which delivers cryptographic proofs with every query. This ensures data integrity and security.
Enhanced Security for On-Chain Applications
Co-founder Scott Dykstra highlights a key advantage: "Prior to Space and Time, on-chain applications lacked the ability to query basic user data from a blockchain activity database without compromising security." Now, developers can build on-chain apps with built-in security, leveraging cryptographic proofs to connect cloud databases to smart contracts.
Key Partnerships and Integrations
Space and Time boasts significant partnerships. Prominent financial institutions, major cloud providers (including Microsoft Azure and Google BigQuery), and leading crypto projects such as Chainlink, Sui, and ZKsync are already integrated or actively building within the Space and Time ecosystem.
The native utility token, SXT, is scheduled for release on May 8th. The mainnet is permissionless, welcoming community participation as validators and delegated stakers. The testnet already boasted over 30 validators globally.
MakeInfinite Labs' Contributions
MakeInfinite Labs (formerly Space and Time Labs), the project's creators, secured strategic funding from Microsoft in 2022, followed by a Series A round in 2024. Their contributions extend beyond Space and Time, encompassing projects like Blitzar and the Chainlink DeFi Yield Index.
Note: Codeum offers a range of blockchain security and development services, including smart contract audits, KYC verification, custom smart contract and DApp development, tokenomics and security consultation, and partnerships with launchpads and crypto agencies. These services can help projects like Space and Time ensure the security and success of their blockchain initiatives.
