Nibiru Finalizes Nibiru EVM (V2) Codebase After Rigorous Security Audits

Tortola, British Virgin Islands, January 23rd, 2025 – Nibiru, a high-performance blockchain, announced the successful completion of its Nibiru EVM (Nibiru V2) upgrade following rigorous security audits. This upgrade significantly enhances the platform's capabilities and opens doors for a new wave of decentralized applications (dApps).

"This milestone represents a crucial step in Nibiru's evolution," stated Unique Divine, Co-founder of Nibiru and CEO of Nibi, Inc. "Nibiru prioritizes the security of user assets. The audits and subsequent mitigation efforts ensure a secure and efficient environment for deploying next-generation applications."

Security Audits and Enhancements

Nibiru’s security audits focused on the core L1 logic and included:

  • A consultative security audit in October 2024 by Zenith.
  • A competitive Code4rena audit in November 2024, expanding the scope to include Nibiru’s Ethereum JSON-RPC, in addition to the core L1 and the Nibiru EVM.

These audits helped identify and address potential security vulnerabilities, strengthening the overall security posture of the Nibiru EVM.

What is Nibiru EVM (Nibiru V2)?

Nibiru EVM (V2) is a purely additive upgrade that provides an EVM-equivalent execution engine. This allows Ethereum developers to easily build on Nibiru and utilize familiar tools like MetaMask and Coinbase Wallet. This interoperability significantly expands the potential for application development on the platform.

Ecosystem Expansion with Nibiru V2

The January 2025 Ecosystem Update highlighted several products launching on Nibiru V2, including:

  • Uniswap V3 deployment by Oku
  • Astrovault’s cross-chain DEX
  • Tokenized private credit and T-bills
  • Bridged USDC

Nibiru Lagrange Point: Future Innovations

Building on the Nibiru EVM upgrade, Nibiru is unveiling its "Nibiru Lagrange Point" roadmap, focused on enhancing scalability, decentralization, and user experience. Key features include:

  • FunToken Mechanism: Unification of EVM and non-EVM tokens without third-party bridges.
  • PARE (Pipeline-Aware Reordered Execution): Higher throughput.
  • Optimized NibiruBFT Validator Dynamics: BLS Signatures and novel grouping algorithms for faster block times.
  • Mempool Lanes: Orderly transaction flow.

Harvey Liu, Research Engineer at Nibi, Inc., explained that these innovations aim to "address bottlenecks across every layer, supporting advanced DeFi, real-world assets (RWAs), AI-driven bots, and high-traffic projects on a single platform."

About Nibiru
