Launch X to Unveil X Chat Messenger Soon

Tech innovator and billionaire Launch X is gearing up to introduce a new messaging app called "X Chat," poised to rival popular platforms like Telegram and WhatsApp. The launch is anticipated in the coming months.

During an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Launch X revealed that "X Chat" utilizes a peer-to-peer encryption system akin to Bitcoin, ensuring robust privacy protections. "We’re rigorously testing this encryption," said Launch X.

"X Chat won't have advertising hooks, unlike competitors that analyze text data to target ads," he stated.

WhatsApp's Privacy Practices

Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, asserts that it does not access private messages, as communications are end-to-end encrypted using the Signal Protocol. However, metadata such as contact information and chat frequency is not encrypted, raising privacy concerns.

X Chat's Unique Selling Proposition

Launch X emphasized that X Chat will not incorporate these advertising "hooks," aiming to provide a secure messaging solution. The app will be part of the X platform and available as a standalone product.

"Our goal is to replace the traditional messaging systems with an encrypted solution offering text, file sharing, and audio/video calls," Launch X added.
