KuCoin EU Secures MiCA License, Expands Operations Across Europe
KuCoin EU Gains MiCA License
KuCoin EU Exchange GmbH has obtained a Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license from Austria's Financial Market Authority (FMA), allowing it to offer regulated crypto services in 29 European Economic Area (EEA) countries, excluding Malta.
Significant Milestone for KuCoin
This MiCA license is a strategic achievement for KuCoin, aligning with its goal of global regulatory compliance. MiCA, effective since late last year, allows crypto firms to secure licenses in individual markets and use passporting services across the EEA.
"Big news for Europe, bigger news for the world! KuCoin EU is now officially MiCAR-compliant and approved by the Austrian FMA! Secure, regulated crypto access is coming to the EU very soon."
Strategic Hub in Austria
Austria serves as a strategic hub for KuCoin's European operations due to its stable regulatory environment and proactive implementation of MiCA laws. This strategic move enhances KuCoin's position in Europe, providing a competitive edge over non-regulated entities.
Comprehensive Service Offering
The MiCA license enables KuCoin EU to offer custody, administration, and exchange services for crypto-assets, meeting diverse user needs and enhancing trust among users demanding regulated platforms.
