Kraken Enhances Trading Platform with Capitalise.ai Acquisition

Crypto exchange Kraken has acquired Capitalise.ai, an Israel-based startup specializing in no-code automated trading. The deal brings Capitalise.ai's technology, which allows users to automate trading strategies through a natural-language interface, under the Kraken umbrella.

Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, a Stifel company, served as financial advisor to Capitalise.ai. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Capitalise.ai's Technology

Founded in 2015, Capitalise.ai developed a platform that translates plain text into executable trading strategies. The system supports:

  • Real-time and historical data analysis across equities, crypto, FX, futures, and options.
  • No-code strategy automation.

Integration with Kraken Pro

Kraken plans to integrate Capitalise.ai's features into its Kraken Pro platform later this year. This integration aims to lower the barrier to entry for advanced trading, allowing users to design, backtest, and automate trading strategies without needing to write any code.

“This acquisition gives Kraken Pro clients a powerful new way to act on ideas in real time—testing, optimizing, and executing bespoke strategies with unprecedented speed and confidence,” said Shannon Kurtas, head of exchange at Kraken.

Leadership Transition

Capitalise.ai co-founders Amir Shiovich and Shahar Rabin, along with key engineering staff, will join Kraken’s Pro business unit as part of the deal.
