FTX to Distribute $1.9B to Creditors in Next Payout Round

FTX Prepares for Third Round of Distributions

FTX has announced that its next major distribution to creditors is expected to begin on September 30, 2025. This move follows a Delaware court's approval to reduce the disputed claims reserve by $1.9 billion, freeing up additional capital for payouts.

Key Dates and Eligibility

The record date for eligibility is set for August 15. This covers allowed claims from:

  • Class 5 Customer Entitlement
  • Class 6 General Unsecured
  • New Convenience Claims

Distribution Details

The distributions will be managed by FTX’s service providers:

  • BitGo
  • Kraken
  • Payoneer

To be eligible, claimants must complete KYC verification, tax submissions, and platform onboarding before the record date.

Previous Distributions

This marks FTX’s third distribution round. The exchange previously initiated:

  • First payout to Convenience Claim holders on February 18
  • Second $5 billion distribution on May 30
