Ethereum Turns 10: Celebrates with NFT Torch and $75M Trading Volume
Ethereum is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a unique initiative: a symbolic NFT torch that will be passed from wallet to wallet around the world.
Starting July 21st, with co-founder Joseph Lubin as the first bearer, the torch will be transferred daily among key community members, builders, and contributors. Each participant will hold the torch for 24 hours, symbolizing Ethereum’s shared stewardship and decentralized ethos.
On July 30th—ten years since the network's launch—the torch will be burned, marking the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. Additionally, a commemorative NFT will be available for minting, reinforcing Ethereum’s inclusive and open ethos and celebrating its decade-long journey.

Last week, total NFT trading volume across blockchains exceeded $140 million, the strongest weekly activity in over six months. Ethereum-based projects accounted for more than half of that, bringing in $75 million in volume and leading the market’s rebound.
This represents a 300% increase from just two weeks prior, when Ethereum’s NFT volume was at $18.3 million.

Momentum Builds as Ethereum Hits New Highs
Ethereum’s current momentum is undeniable. The network’s market cap has surged past $458 billion—the highest in nearly eight months—following a steady recovery since late April. ETH climbed to $3,793, gaining over 35% in July alone.
Technical indicators support the strength of this rally. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) was at an overheated 87.80, and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remained in a strong bullish crossover.
With increasing NFT activity, community-driven celebrations, and a resurgent token price, Ethereum is entering a renewed growth cycle—both in terms of value and narrative—as it celebrates its 10-year anniversary.
