El Salvador is set to host Bitcoin Histórico, the world’s first government-sponsored Bitcoin conference, on November 12–13, 2025. The event will take place in San Salvador’s historic center and is organized by the National Bitcoin Office.
Conference Details
The conference reinforces El Salvador’s position as a pioneer in digital currency, having adopted Bitcoin as legal tender in 2021. Bitcoin Histórico aims to showcase Bitcoin’s role in:

- Cultural rebirth
- Monetary sovereignty
According to an official press release, Bitcoin Histórico will gather leading minds to explore the future of money, culture, and civilization. Early bird tickets are on sale, priced in Bitcoin. Fiat payments will be accepted starting in September.
