Bybit Showcases Innovative Crypto Payments at Web Summit Rio

Bybit, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, participated in Web Summit Rio (April 27-30). The event, held in Rio de Janeiro, provided a platform for Bybit to present its advanced crypto offerings and innovative payment solutions.

Crypto integration is rapidly transforming payments globally, particularly in emerging markets. Bybit is at the forefront of this movement, offering comprehensive solutions encompassing trading, custody, on/off-ramping, and payments. Bybit aims to be the ultimate crypto lifestyle brand.

Bybit's LATAM operations are focused on becoming a key partner for the crypto community. In 2025, Bybit launched Bybit Pay in Brazil, powered by Transfero. This blockchain-based payment gateway offers a smooth crypto-to-fiat experience, simplifying payments within Brazil's large economy.

Bybit Pay Key Features

  • QR code support: Scan to pay with fiat or crypto via PIX in Brazil.
  • Unified wallet management: Manage crypto and fiat in one place.
  • Multiple currency support: BRL, USDT, USDC, BTC, and ETH.
  • Secure transactions: Protected by blockchain encryption.
  • Merchant access: Connects merchants to Bybit's 60+ million global users.

The Bybit booth at Web Summit Rio welcomed hundreds of attendees who experienced Bybit Pay firsthand. Discussions focused on the future of crypto and its integration into the digital economy.

A Transfero x Bybit Happy Hour, sponsored by Bybit Pay, further showcased the solution. Attendees experienced Bybit Pay transactions and received Bybit merchandise.

Bybit's commitment to customer experience extends beyond transactions. Their partnership with Tomorrowland Brasil (October 10-12, Itu, São Paulo) highlights crypto's growing presence in mainstream culture. As the exclusive payment partner, Bybit is bridging music and the crypto community.

"For younger Latin Americans, crypto is becoming a way of life. We aim to make crypto payments instant and borderless," said Israel Buzaym, Bybit's Brazil Country Manager.

Brazilian and Argentinian customers can explore Bybit Pay and the Bybit Card, offering up to 10% cashback.
