Archax Enters US Market with Globacap Acquisition

Archax, a leading UK-based exchange for real-world assets (RWAs), has significantly expanded its global reach by acquiring Globacap, a US broker-dealer firm. This strategic move marks Archax's official entry into the rapidly growing US tokenized assets market.

Following its October 2024 acquisition of Shaxon Capital Markets, establishing its EU presence, Archax further solidifies its position as a global player in the RWA space. Globacap Private Markets Inc., a FINRA and SEC-regulated entity, will be rebranded as Archax Markets US.

What This Means for US Customers

Archax Markets US will provide US clients access to Archax's comprehensive suite of RWA services. This includes a fully regulated marketplace for trading tokenized securities such as private equity, bonds, and real estate-backed assets. The platform will also offer regulated custody services for digital securities, cryptocurrencies, and tokenized RWAs.

Through partnerships with Entoro Capital and Capturiant, Archax plans to offer tokenized carbon credits and sustainable investment opportunities within the US market. The platform supports tokenization on multiple blockchain networks including Algorand, Arbitrum, Ethereum, Etherlink, Hedera Hashgraph, Polygon, Solana, Stellar, XDC, and XRPL.

The Booming US RWA Market

Archax's US expansion comes at a pivotal time. The tokenized RWA market is experiencing explosive growth, projected to reach $30.1 trillion by 2034. As of December 2024, the market (excluding stablecoins) was valued at approximately $15.2 billion, representing an 85% year-over-year increase. Including stablecoins, the total tokenized market soared to $217.26 billion.

This growth is driven by increased adoption across various sectors, including real estate, commodities, and financial instruments. Institutional investment and the integration of DeFi platforms by traditional firms are also key contributing factors. Recent examples include Fidelity's filing to offer a digital US money market fund on Ethereum.

While Archax's entry presents significant opportunities, the company will face competition from established players like INX Limited, Coinbase Institutional, Oasis Pro Markets, Securitize, and tZERO. Maintaining regulatory compliance will be crucial for success.
