Alchemy Acquires HeyMint to Enhance Smart Wallets
Alchemy, a leading Web3 infrastructure provider, announced its acquisition of HeyMint, a user-friendly NFT launchpad, on Friday. This strategic move aims to significantly improve user onboarding within Alchemy's Smart Wallet solution.
Key Highlights:
- Alchemy's Smart Wallets, launched earlier this year, provide enterprise-grade, programmable wallets. They offer seamless onboarding, gasless transactions, robust security, and flexible authorization for users and developers.
- HeyMint's no-code tools have a proven track record, serving over 1 million users and 40,000+ creators, generating $38 million in NFT sales. The platform has successfully supported Web3 campaigns for major brands like MasterCard, Ubisoft, Universal Music Group, and The Sandbox.
- HeyMint's technology has saved creators an estimated $9 million on allowlists and $29 million in NFT launch costs.
The acquisition of HeyMint perfectly complements Alchemy's Smart Wallet initiative. Both companies share a common goal: simplifying and improving accessibility within the Web3 ecosystem. While financial details haven't been released, the combination of Alchemy's infrastructure and HeyMint's user-friendly tools promises a more streamlined experience for both developers and end-users.
"HeyMint's focus on accessibility aligns with Alchemy's vision of onboarding the next generation of Web3 users," said Joe Lau, co-founder and President of Alchemy. "Together, we will continue to enhance Alchemy's Smart Wallets."
Integrating HeyMint's SDK and tools will allow developers to seamlessly incorporate Smart Wallet functionality into various platforms, including apps, games, and marketplaces. This integration simplifies the development process, reducing complexity and accelerating adoption.
Flor Ronsmans De Vry, HeyMint's co-founder and CTO, a seasoned Web3 developer and founder of Fuse Robotics, joins the Alchemy team. This further strengthens Alchemy's expertise in Web3 development and infrastructure.
"We built HeyMint to make Web3 accessible," said Ronsmans De Vry. "Joining Alchemy allows us to broaden that mission and offer secure, user-first onboarding to every developer and project."
This is Alchemy's second major acquisition this month, following the acquisition of DexterLab, a Solana infrastructure provider. This expansion shows Alchemy's commitment to broadening its infrastructure support beyond Ethereum.
