Galaxy Digital Reports $30.7M Profit in Q2, Bolsters Bitcoin Holdings

Galaxy Digital has announced a significant turnaround in the second quarter of 2025, reporting a profit of $30.7 million after losses in the previous quarter. This positive performance is attributed to the rising value of its cryptocurrency holdings and successful trading and lending activities.

Bitcoin Holdings Increase

Demonstrating continued confidence in Bitcoin, Galaxy Digital increased its holdings by 4,272 BTC during the quarter. As of June 30, the company holds 17,102 Bitcoins, valued at approximately $1.8 billion.

Nasdaq Listing and Expansion

In May 2025, Galaxy Digital achieved a significant milestone by listing on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker GLXY. This move followed the company's restructuring as a U.S.-based entity, enhancing its visibility and accessibility to investors.

Helios Data Center Expansion

Galaxy Digital is also expanding its Helios data center campus, which supports advanced computing. Partner company CoreWeave has requested an additional 133 megawatts of power, bringing their total commitment to 800 megawatts.

Major Helios Expansion Plans

The company plans to further expand the Helios campus, acquiring an additional 160 acres of land and requesting access to 1 GW of additional power. If approved, the Helios facility could encompass over 1,500 acres with a potential power capacity of 3.5 gigawatts, positioning it as one of the world's largest data centers, according to CEO Mike Novogratz.

Assisting Large-Scale Bitcoin Sales

Galaxy Digital also facilitated the sale of over 80,000 Bitcoins for a client, underscoring its role in managing large-scale transactions within the cryptocurrency market. This sale underscores the trust large institutional clients place in Galaxy.

The company's robust Q2 performance, strategic Nasdaq listing, and expansion of its data center operations signal a period of growth and development for Galaxy Digital.
